SkyWatch Friday was yesterday but I thought that I share some of these cloud photographs I took earlier this week.
Late in the afternoon a dramatic set of clouds formed over downtown Courtenay, British Columbia. A double rainbow appeared, lasting about 15 minutes before ending in a short heavy downpour. I really didn’t have much to work with as far as objects to frame the sky and ended up using the telephone and power wires – not really natural but I think that some of the compositions worked. Enjoy!

Suppose overhead wires didn’t yet exist. Imagine if someone proposed installing them down every street in today’s world. I think they would be laughed at! Good thing we’re used to them and they are well accepted. I like having electricity.
