Sunset at Miracle Beach
Sunset at Miracle Beach looking across the Strait of Georgia at the Coast Mountains.

It looks like we’ve seen the last of the crisp, cold clear days on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I took this sunset photograph at Miracle Beach earlier this week while we still had some clear skies. Since then the weather has continued to be cold, with temperatures regularly below 0° C at night but the days are a few degrees milder and the winter clouds have returned. 60% chance of flurries this weekend. Don’t put your woollies away yet!

And thinking about skies, weather, and climate change, consider finding a 350.org candlelight vigil this Friday or Saturday and making your voice heard by the decision makers in Copenhagen. It’s worth the effort and you might just meet a few friendly folks who appreciate our planet’s skies just as much as you do.

  1. First I must apologize for being so far behind, blizzard, hubs home and underfoot, grandkids spent a night, and gingerbread houses have left me little time on the computer over the last few days.

So crisp and clean looking! What a beautiful place! Love the name too Miracle Beach, sounds like a great place to visit!
