On the way to Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park yesterday morning we spotted a bald eagle enjoying a little black scoter for brunch at Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Wow, these pictures are intense, especially the second shot.
Nature in the raw … it was a pretty cool thing to see and to be able to approach fairly closely.
Was the comment “nature in the raw” intended to be a pun?? Great photos and not the usual “pretty” ones. I wonder how many folks have seen nature that up close?
