More Garden Insects

Given that I had little success photographing bumble bees on my last visit to our garden I was determined to try again. One of the advantages of using a digital SLR instead of film that you can capture an unlimited number of images without having to worry about cost. This is beneficial when trying to photograph moving garden insects!

Once again I staked out a corner of the garden and sat down to wait. With some luck and a lot of patience I managed to successfully photograph bumble bees, sweat bees, and domestic bees that were visiting flowers in our garden. The neat thing about sitting and waiting is that sometimes the unexpected also shows up. I photographed a couple of other garden insects that I’m not able to conclusively identify. If you can help me figure them out drop me a comment!
