On these dark, wet, autumn days it’s worthwhile digging in the archives in search for some bluer skies for Skywatch Friday. These images were taken on the Echo Canyon/Heart of Rocks/Big Loop trail in Chiricahua National Monument last March during a spring break birding and botanizing trip to Arizona. The geology at Chiricahua is phenomenal and the weather in March was good, especially in contrast to the dismal, gray West Coast winter. Be sure to visit my Arizona gallery pages for more images of the plants and rock formations in this spectacular national monument. Enjoy!
